MIDDLETON posted by Lynda Webster on Monday, May 15, 2000

Thomas MIDDLETON born about 1775-ish in ??, shows up in 1800 Pendleton SC census living with the Samuel and Elizabeth Chastain DENTON family. Two of Thomas' children, John and Charity, marry Denton siblings. Thomas may also have another child, Thomas Jr.(?) The family migration pattern is SC>NC>GA (except for John. John's children were Ann,Nathan and Elizabeth.) Anna MIDDLETON, born close to Thomas' date of birth, I'd say, becomes 2nd wife to Elijah
CHASTAIN, who is brother to Elizabeth Chastain (above). Conflicting data shows Anna's birth place as TN, SC or VA.
Migration pattern for DENTON: NY>VA>NC (which later became TN)>SC>NC>GA Migration pattern for CHASTAIN: VA>SC>NC>GA. Would appreciate hearing from some of you researching any MIDDLETON lines in PA.

My grandfather Russell Frambes, born in 1896 and died in 1966 had three children (Dave, Barbara, and Joan) with his wife Elizabeth Breary Frambes from Juniata Park in Philadelphia. Prior to that they resided near Broad and Erie during the early fifties. I was recently informed that my grandfather was married to another woman prior to marrying Elizabeth. Unfortunately, I don't have the whole story, but they conceived a child probably in the 30's and Russell's wife and the baby left him. I am sure I probably have an Uncle or an Aunt out there from grandpa Russell. This person would most likely be close to 70 years old and may not have known their father. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help point me in the right direction. I don't even know if the child was male/female.
