HARRIS, LASCOM, YOCUM posted by Beverly Walker on Saturday, January 15, 2000

I am trying to identify the wife of Peter Yocum, b. in Kingsessing around 1712 to Charles Yocum and Ann Supplee Yocum. Charles and Ann had two children. Peter and a daughter Christian (Christina) who married William Lascom. Peter married a woman named Mary ? around 1738/39 but so far we can find no record of the marriage. Their first two children were named Abraham and Deborah, names not found at that point in the Yocum line. The other children were Charles, Peter, Margaret and Mary. Abraham Yocum married Rebecca Harris d/o Jacob Harris of N.J. There is a good chance that Mary was from an English family. Peter and Mary spent their lives in Kingsessing not far from Darby, Pa. Their immediate neighbors were Paschall, Bartram, and Wood families.

GRANDEN, GRANDIN, GRANDINE, GRANDOM, GRANDON, GRATTON, GRINDING posted by Pamela Villafuerte on Saturday, January 15, 2000

I am looking for connections to this family. They were in the Philadelphia County census for 1790. A Mr. GRANDON of Burlington was on a ship that went to port in Philadelphia in 1773. They were back and forth between the two cities. They were weavers, dyers, merchant, lawyers, ministers, fullers, and into textiles. Bernard GRANDON married Sarah POINTSWAY in 1740 in the ST Mary's church at Burlington, but, no one can find where she came from-maybe Philadelphia. I am looking for tax records, wills, land or rent records, baptisms or anything to find this family.
